THURSDAY MORNING MIX
September 16, 2010
Scott Foley

As anyone who has been listening to Our Fair Station for a bit has perceived, changes are a'comin' at KRFC. The station's News on the Range programs have been set aside to make room for more music programming. A good deal of thought is being put into what listeners want to hear and when. This is all in an effort to be increasingly more responsive to you, in hopes of deepening our roots in our extended community. Consistency and professionalism: two key terms.

KRFC's twice-yearly Membership Drive sets sail next Friday, September 24, and we trust we'll hear from fans of the Thursday Morning Mix. Of course, your ears are always welcome at 88.9fm. At times like these, we need to hear your voices as well.

This week's Episode features a mix of the new and the less new, the big and the small names. It's just how we roll at TMM ... Altho I have to admit I never thought I'd play Springsteen and Plant back-to-back on my show. It's been a generous month for Big Label americana, alt.country and roots releases, blessing us with top notch work from Ryan Bingham, Justin Townes Earle, Robert Plant and Kim Richey.
