ROUTES & BRANCHES

February 25, 2012
Scott Foley

Legendary Austin rocker Jon Dee Graham has participated in his fair share of "supergroups".  A list of the recording's on which he's participated runs the length of a webpage.  On this Episode, we're introduced to JDG's most recent project:  The Hobart Brothers , with Lil' Sis Hobart, featuring Graham, Freedy Johnston and Susan Cowsill.  The trio started out writing a couple tunes about their experience working in restaurants (hence the name, a prominent brand of industrial dishwasher).  Fortunately, they've moved on to less mundane subject matter on At Least We Have Each Other, taking turns at lead vocals and songwriting credits.

Also on this installation of R&B, Band Of Heathens' 2-CD / 2-DVD live set, recorded just down the road a piece in Denver.  Also, it seems only yesterday we last enjoyed the Del Fuegos, though it's actually been over 20 years, which is quite a long time ago.
