Before we head into this week's ROUTES-cast, let's turn our attention quickly to recent additions to A Routes & Branches Guide To Feeding Your Monster. On the heels of landing a song near the top of our favorite songs list from 2018, Dead Horses return with their follow-up effort. Brady Street will land on August 12 (Vos & Wolff). Cass McCombs' next project features contributions from Haim and Wynonna Judd. Heartmind lands on shelves on August 19 (Anti). Valerie June's next record will feature her rendition of a handful of cover songs from artists like Frank Ocean, Joe South, Gillian Welch and more. Expect Under Cover via the Fantasy label on August 26. Austin's The Deer are set to share their sophomore album. The Beautiful Undead arrives September 9 via Keeled Scales. Six years after his last LP, Rocky Votolato returns with Wild Roots. The Seattle songwriter's concept album is set for a September 9 appearance (Spartan).
