Since last we checked A Routes & Branches Guide To Feeding Your Monster, Hellbound Glory shared news of a new studio record. Leroy Virgil will release Nobody Knows You, produced again by Shooter Jennings, on September 30 (Black Country Rock). Last we heard from Bill Callahan, he was collaborating on a great series of cover songs with Bonnie Prince Billy. The former Smog frontman will present YTILAER via Drag City on October 14. Back in 2017, songwriter Alex Williams released the better-than-it-had-to-be Better Than Myself. He's moved onto the Lightning Rod label, and has planned an October 21 date for Waging Peace. Bright Eyes has announced their second installment of Companion EPs for 2022. Due November 11, Conor Oberst has planned sets tied to the sessions for I'm Wide Awake It's Morning, Digital Ash in a Digital Urn, and LIFTED or the Story is In the Soil. Finally, in a year that's been relatively rich in tribute collections, New West will add their own nod to Billy Joe Shaver. Live Forever will feature contributions from Ryan Bingham with Nikki Lane, Nathaniel Rateliff, Allison Russell and many more (Nov 11).
