I lost my internet connection when you we're starting to back announce Richard Buckner. Do you remember what you said? He seems to be haunting my music scene. One of the podcasts I listen to played a song of his last week. It reminded me of how much I love his music. So I dug up all his old CD's and pulled a bunch of songs for my show. And now your played an old cut. Is there some universal Buckner thing going on? Funny how often that happens.

I haven't noticed the Buckner bonanza from my vantage. Devotion and Doubt was one of my biggest musical revelations in the past decade, and still sounds unlike anything else I've heard. Buckner's subsequent album, Since, was also very strong, albeit a bit more conventional. Since then, I've always been a fan, but nothing's hit me like DnD. One thing that might account for the uptick in play is that Merge Records just reissued Bloomed, Impasse and The Hill as digital remasters.
