Story goes that uber-producer Don Was fell in love with the voice of americana-folk songstress Pieta Brown upon hearing her on a CA radio program. He subsequently set to tape an EP of new bare-bones tunes; just Brown, Daddy's guitarist Bo Ramsey, and Was on acoustic bass.
