As we mentioned in our recent appreciation of his Sun Of Amen record, Alex Amen's new collection features some decidedly dated production and arrangement. Relix features a live set from the New York songwriter that demonstrates how he sounds without that studio magic. The set also features three guys with mustaches straight from the 70s.

This year's Americanafest happens September 15-19 in Nashville. While we're by no means mainstreamers, the lineup of performers is undeniable, and it's growing by the day.
